CORONAVIRUS UPDATE
18th March 2020
The Scottish Government has decided that schools are to close on Friday. The recommendation is that, where possible, schools should remain open for examination years to complete assignments, finish courses or sit planned prelims. We have a few subjects that fall into this category and they will remain operational into week until these objectives have been achieved. These departments include Art, Drama, RMPS, ESOL, Modern Studies, Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, English, Geography and Spanish. The Art department will be available over the Easter holiday to enable the completion of coursework. Exact classes will be confirmed tomorrow. Boarding will remain open while still required.
All pupils from Reception to Lower Fifth will finish school on Friday at 4/4:10pm. There will be no after school activities and mini buses will leave at 4:30pm. For Upper Fifth to Upper Sixth the school will close on Friday 27 March for the Easter break.
SQA have asked schools to plan a normal exam season within the current dates which we will do.
Senior pupils will be receiving lessons remotely through TEAMS and email, and Junior girls will be receiving a pack of work on Friday.
Communication with parents will continue as the picture develops.
