Inter Schools Hunter Trials 2018
Sunday 23rd September saw the 4th annual Kilgraston Inter-schools Hunter Trials take place at Foresterseat cross-country course, Glenfarg on what was the most perfect Autumn day. Blue skies and glorious sunshine helped make this event which is growing in popularity each year with over 100 entries from 22 different schools taking part a great success.
The day started with the 1m class and Issie J taking 2nd place
Class 2, the 90cm class saw Kilgraston come out on top to win the teams section (Daisy L, Poppy P, Bernadette McE and Tia H). Poppy P also claimed third place in the individual section.
Class 3 the 75cm was the busiest of the day with nearly 40 entries and again competition was fierce with only a few seconds making the difference in the top placings. Kilgraston girls Mischa S, Charlotte J, Millie L and Maria McE came in an excellent 2nd in what was a very competitive class.
Class 4 was a pairs class which was open to all, where 2 riders jump the course together and have to jump 1 fence side by side and are marked on their jumping effort together, which always makes great viewing!
The last class of the day saw our youngest riders tackling the 60cm. Kilgraston took both first (Hannah A, Mellissa A, Erin McG and Ailsa F) and second place (Ishbel F, Lucy H and Olivia K) in the teams sections.
Well done to all the competitors and a huge thank you to all the jump judges, stewards and helpers on the day.
