United Nations Visit

Before half term, eight L5 pupils flew to Switzerland to take red handprints from Kilgraston pupils and staff to the United Nations Office in Geneva to show support for the campaign against the use of child soldiers. They then had a tour of the UN and learnt about the work carried out world wide.

The girls also had the rare opportunity to have a meeting with a UNICEF agent who works with the rehabilitation of children who have been affected by war and conflict in Uganda and Nigeria The group also visited the Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum learning about what can be done to help those caught up in natural disasters and conflicts.

Although it was a very busy couple of days the girls benefited greatly from this humanitarian trip.
