Hockey v St Margaret’s, Aberdeen – Saturday 01.09.18
Our first hockey matches of the season were versus St Margaret’s School from Aberdeen and our 1st XI team got off to a great start.
Travelling up early in the morning we arrived to meet a tough team and with only outfield players it was going to be tough. No nerves were visible at all and with a totally dominant game we won 6 – 0 overall. A hat trick from Ciara Forgie, 1 from Carla Rourke, a goal from Michaela McCarthy and finally Alexa Manganiello was also on the team sheet.
A great performance and a happy mini bus on the way home.
At Kilgraston we also welcomed 2 teams from Aberdeen with our U3/L4 team winning the same score line, 6 – 0, with goals from Erin MacGregor (3), Flora Allen picked up 2 and finally Laura Inglis scored one too. This is a fine start to the season.
Our L5/U4 team had some excellent play too overall but narrowly lost out 2 – 1 on the day.
