Equestrian Success this weekend

Our equestrian teams (all 8 of them!) had a good day out at Howe Equestrian Centre yesterday for Strathallan’s annual showjumping competition.

In the first class of the day we had 2 teams competing and both coming away with rosettes. Prep Riding Captain (joint) Maisie F, Lucy H, Ishbel F and Hannah A were 3rd and Daisy N, Meadow B, Olivia K and Lucy H coming 5th, all girls rode fantastic clear rounds with it also being Daisy and Meadows first ever show. Lucy H also came 3rd overall on her new pony Doodles.

In class 2, the 70cm with Mischa S, Millie L, Flora A and Prep Riding Captain (joint)Mellissa A coming in 5th place, with Mischa taking individual 4th. We had another 2 teams in the class of Hannah A, Maisie F, Erin J and Lucy H in one team, and Daisy N, Emma G, Olivia K and Erin M in another riding some great rounds.

Class 3 was the busiest of the day and we had 2 teams forward. Charlotte J, Mischa S, Millie L and Ava M just missed out on a placing, as did Connie W, Erin J, Erin M and Flora A.

The last class of the day was the 1m class. Issy J, Heather H and Jemima C rode some great round, just touching a couple of poles to finish on 8 faults leaving the team in 3rd place over all. Heather was second individually and Issy 5th, both with fantastic clear rounds, well done girls!

Thank you to all the girls who took part, and the girls who came to support, it was great seeing so many KG girls there supporting each other. Thank you to Ruth Elliott for managing the teams in the morning and to all the parents involved for getting the girls and their horses along to Howe for what was a long but successful day.
