Visit from an Ice Maiden

Today we were delighted to hear from Major Sandy Hennis who was part of the all-female team to ski coast-to-coast across Antarctica using muscle power alone.

This amazing journey took over 60 days to complete and we were honored and privileged to hear her talk and inspire our girls.

Major Sandy Hennis is truly an inspirational woman.

GIVING THE RDA A LEG-UP AT KILGRASTON’S EQUESTRIAN CENTRE

Marmoutier exchange trip

The Marmoutier exchange took place over the half-term and was a great success. Even the 5 hour delay to our flight back to Edinburgh could not overshadow the positive experience! The trip was varied and included a guided visit of the main sights of Tours, learning about Leonardo di Vinci’s inventions at the Clos Lucé (photo 1) and a fantastic day out at the Futuroscope multimedia theme park. We even experienced an outdoor mass at the school and the girls were very brave in performing an eight-some reel in front of all the on-looking French pupils (photo 2).

We did much more asides and a full account of the trip will be available to read in the next edition of the school magazine.
