Kilgraston is a special place. A distinctive and remarkable, world-class boarding and day school, offering education for girls aged 5 to 18. It's both exciting and challenging; building on the ambitions of both our girls and their parents or guardians.
Visitors say we ‘feel different’. And we are. Our founding traditions as part of the Sacred Heart Network reinforce our values as does our Scottish education heritage. Trust, respect, integrity and responsibility lie at the heart of our community and underpin the academic achievements of each of our students.
Our ambition for each girl is to stimulate and develop her individual character and personality. Our teaching is rich in resources, with highly effective use of Information Technology in the classroom, including the use of iPads for every girl. Our teaching inspires and challenges our girls to aim at the highest level, and enables them to attain it.
We believe there should be no limit on either personal or professional ambitions.
Each girl is encouraged to grow, learn and mature in an atmosphere of freedom and opportunity. Each is a key member of the ‘Kilgraston Family’.
Our girls achieve all they are capable of. Each will leave Kilgraston with the potential to go on to take their place as a professional, academic or business leader of tomorrow; perhaps all three if that’s their choice.
In the recent HMIE and Care Inspectorate report, assessors noted that: “Young people thrive in this stimulating environment for learning and make the most of the extensive range of enriching activities and learning experiences offered to them.” We think you will agree.
I look forward to welcoming you to Kilgraston.
