Kilgraston's location is within easy access to mountains, lakes, rivers and during the Spring Term, weather permitting, ski slopes giving the girls an extra dimension of recreational facilities and opportunities which is the envy of many other schools around the UK.

With a very wide range of weekend and outdoor activities as well as clubs and societies there is no time for the girls to be bored and every school weekend there is always a full programme of outings and activities.

The girls are also encouraged to participate in The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme which is key to much of the outdoor education programme, giving them an opportunity to take part in an adventurous and challenging array of expeditions and projects, including weekend treks across the spectacular scenery of the nearby Scottish Highlands and Islands.
