Curriculum

The Prep School Nursery and Prep pupils study a wide syllabus based on the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence at Early, First, Second, Third and Fourth stages. which prepares them for entry into the Senior School at Kilgraston. We will also help prepare pupils moving on to other senior schools, with exceptionally high percentage of our pupils remaining at Kilgraston as an all through girls school from Nursery continuing through the years to the end of Sixth From at eighteen years of age.

High priority is given to all curricular areas: English, Maths and Science, French (and experience of other modern languages throughout Prep school), Technology, History, Geography, Music, Drama, Art, Physical Education and Religious Moral Education, with Latin introduced at Senior Prep years.

Emphasis is placed on learning and thinking skills which allow individual pupils to develop and extend their learning in all areas. This thoroughly prepares them for progression and smooth transition into Senior School, building a strong foundation for future academic and life success
