Prep School Curriculum

The Prep School children study a wide syllabus based on the Scottish 5 — 14 Curriculum which prepares them to take the 13+ Common Entrance or individual Senior School exams as required.

High priority is given to English, Maths and Science throughout. French, ICT, Technology, Environmental Studies, Music, Drama, Art, PE and RME (Religious Moral Education) are also taught with Latin introduced at age 11.

Emphasis is placed on learning skills which allow individual pupils to pursue their learning outside the classroom. This thoroughly prepares them for progression into Senior School and builds a strong foundation for future academic success.
