Sport
Introduction
Participation in Sport is key to the development of character of the girls at Kilgraston School where we encourage all pupils to take part regardless of age and ability. All the activities throughout the week are varied from yoga and karate classes to team sports of hockey, netball and tennis, there is a sport for all.
Kilgraston is blessed with over 50 acres of beautiful grounds which offer an enviable range of sporting facilities including an International sized all-weather floodlit hockey pitch, eight floodlit all-weather tennis courts, riding school with livery, extensive playing fields, a superb sports hall, fitness suite and climbing wall, and a new 25m indoor swimming pool complex.
In addition, the majority of girls become involved in an extensive range of other after school sporting activities such as Aerobics, Badminton, Cricket, Fitness Gym, Football, Highland Dancing, Karate, Modern Dance, Rock Climbing, Rugby, Skiing, year-round Tennis Coaching, Yoga, Zumba dance, team practices for major sports and team fitness training sessions. The school has a strong programme of inter-school sporting activity.
Sport is a significant part of life for every girl at Kilgraston. We recognise that not every girl is ‘sporty’, but we encourage them to try everything and as a result discover a sport which they will enjoy.
