Re:Faith Week
Between the 23rd and the 27th January, Kilgraston held faith related activities for Re:Faith Week. Every year Kilgraston has a goal to work towards as part of its Sacred Heart membership with this year’s goal being ‘A Living Faith’. The activities were arranged around Glass Square with a timetable written up along with a Faithbook, where girls could write their own comments about the week and put questions to others. A goal was set at the start of the week to make 1000 origami peace doves to be hung up in Glass Square. Throughout the week the girls took part in meditation sessions as well as a camp fire, gospel choir practises and attended talks by guest speakers invited into school. At the end of the week paper floating lotuses with tea lights were sent down the Deich Burn before girls were invited to take part in the annual Talentless Show with some interesting entries! Finally, the unveiling of the 1000 doves took place with a blessing by Fr. Tom Shields. A great week had by all!
