Find Out MoreWe support the findings that being involved in musical activities helps significantly to develop a young person’s social, cognitive and motor skills. In addition, its involvement also fosters great teamwork for those involved.
For Kilgraston pupils, the benefits have been seen to be profound. Our Music Department is top class. It offers a wide range of clubs & activities for children and young adults of all ages.
Performing on stage in front of a packed auditorium can equip a young person with skills that will benefit them for many years to come. It will also deliver a feeling of elation as the applause levels grow.
At Kilgraston, there are many opportunities for our young musicians to perform in public ranging so from our Christmas Carol Concert held in Perth Concert Hall, which has a main auditorium seating 1200, to our end of year musical productions.
Public performance like these is a difficult skill to master. Regular rehearsals, however, and smaller scale performances improve confidence and self-esteem which helps our pupils to develop a variety of skills that no classroom can teach.
