Study
forms the core of each evening's routine, all of the
girls are encouraged to participate in co-curricular
activities which take place during evenings and at weekends.
Fifth and Sixth Form girls are encouraged to read and
study beyond the normal allocation and it is hoped they
will also read newspapers and keep up to date with current
affairs. Time is also provided each day for 'free time'
when the girls may be in their residential areas or
in their common rooms.
There is one half term holiday and two mini or long
weekends during the autumn and spring terms and two
long weekends during the summer term. It is expected
that each girl will either go home or to a friend
or guardian during these breaks. If there is an examination
they may stay in school for the night prior to the
exam. All boarders are encouraged to stay at school
during other weekends.
